^ I think he's asking for a cutaway view so we can see what this part's function is. I don't think second gen's typically see many problems with this piece, so we're going to need you to sell it to us. According to your website it combats oil getting sucked up into the intake during hard cornering. I know you do great work for the 1st gen's, but typical 2nd gen owners are cheap bastards that don't even want to pay to replace a broken part, let alone a beautifully crafted replacement to a working part.

One thought, making them lower and or offset so you dont need an angled TB inlet when doing FMIC conversion. Of course those who dont have access to a tig would need to find a straight TB inlet then. There ya go, a package set and it does that bafle bit
Ive done some damm hard cornering on my hoosiers and have never sucked oil up into my intake?? Does that really happen?

Apparently the 3rd and 1st gen guys have a huge oil ingestion or spewing problem...
With a baffled oil pan ive never had even the hint of an issue on either my turbo car or my non-turbo. Admittedly i dont run a lot of boost and i think thats where you run into the issue on the road courses...

And that you've been on a track. That automatically puts you out of the 'typical' fc owner category. Anyways, sounds like this is much more prevalent issue with 3rd gen's (not listed on the re-speed website for 1st gen's). Probably boost related as you suggest. Maybe hard right turns, on slicks, while the engine is at high rpm's, with little throttle input, maybe.

Inside that chamber there's a machined tube that goes in that helps reduce the amount of oil that comes out of there. I have personally seen it on a FC at a local track where most of his engine oil had come out of there and after a few short laps and had blown his engine. This also helps reduce catch cans filling up therefore keeping more in your engine where it should be.
There will be a version for the NA 2nd gen and the first gens coming out in the near future.
I personally have had it happen to me first hand in my first gen also where i lost quite a bit and coated the entire driver side strut tower with oil.

it's difficult to sell most anything to the FC/FB crowd unless it has a direct upgrade function or gains to the car in one or more ways.
not trying to sway you away from making unique products but this is one that i never realized was ever a problem with the FC/FB over the plastic piece of crap FD unit.

First time I've ever heard of it being a problem. I lurk alot on alot of forums, never hang around the FB/FD sections though. Once I get my REW running in my FC I guess I'll find out.

There is actually a bigger problem with the OEM units. They rust from the inside out and dump metal flakes inside the engine. Got two of them here that are completely corroded, and one engine that was quite scored from it. Good price too. Looking to get one here shortly instead of build it myself...
