So in otherwords, if I need a good shifter right now, buy a cheap one to get by with until yours is done?

Yup, pretty much.

I've been waiting for this one too. I have a C's, which is great, but it was the one for the S4, so I can't use a lot of the nicer ***** that I want (not too many people make threaded shift ***** for 12X1.5).

If Aaron's new shifter is nice, and comes with S5 threads, I'm definitely in for one. But like he said, might be a while.

The final prototype is in my car right now and it's pretty sweet. I have not been able to drive much on it (nothing more then around the block) due to the lack of registration and insurance but I think the rattles are mostly solved...

Now all I need to do is apply for vendor status on the forum to make the whole thing legit, ramp up production and get going...Sorry, no time estimates at the moment...

If you need anyone to test out another prototype, just let me know

Seriously, my current shifter is a running joke. My shift **** literally sits in the tranny tunnel (really, i might as well be shifting with my finger.) If you have another one, I'd be more than happy to test it out. Let me know.

Hey Aaron, couldn't you just market the rattle as an early detection system to get your transmission replaced/worked on? it would be better to find out a few months in advance rather than driving down the highway and "oops, I've lost 3-5". I kid, I kid... or am I?

Lol that's funny. From what I've read on here, I think my shifter bushings are wore out, 1st to 2nd shift isn't straight back, I have to swing it in a crescent motion, like a half-moonSame for going into reverse. So I figure I'll just go ahead and upgrade the shifter while I'm at it.

No pics yet. Price will be about the same as I mentioned before. I don't want to say anything else because I am not an approved vendor, and I don't know when they will be ready.

its been over a month since the last update, i think a thread resurrection is valid at this point.

so the rattleing is the transmission? not the shifter? I just got a rebuilted tranny on my car, hopeing it will stop rattleing with the stock shifter, yet it still rattles. maybe its my luck.

Please stop asking. I am very busy and honestly should not have even mentioned it in the first place unless it was done. The shifters will get produced when I am happy with the result. I think they're as good as they are going to get so now I have to sort out all the little details (forum vendor status, instructions, etc.).

well thanks *******..glad you could let me know that. I'm looking for a short shifter and remembered this thread from WAY back, and I wanted to know if there might be any kind of update that might put off me buying something else now...then I'd know...but by all means, keep being "the *******" if you'd like...rx7club just wouldn't be the same without them.
