RB presilencer fitment issues? High angle?

Hey folks. I am currently bolting up a RB presilencer on my 91 NA (manual trans). I am actually not using the RB pipe that goes just in front of that; I am attempting to weld up some tubes to fit a catalytic converter in front of it.

My issue is this:
When bolting the RB presilencer to the Y-pipe inlet (RB catback), the whole presilencer is angled upwards rather noticeably, even touching the heat shields. Perhaps I'm doing something wrong? Or is it supposed to fit with that crazy angle? I doubt that Mazdatrix sold me the wrong one... but I guess it's possible?

I bought my RB Rev2 system from mazdratrix as well, except I had the downpipe to go with it. Why not just get the downpipe and complete the system?

As for your question, those parts fit magically if you put them in properly. I did mine in less than an hour. Keep in mind they fit very closely as they have been precisely engineered and the slightest error will probably jam everything up down there.

Because I want to wedge a catalytic converter in there.

I managed to put together something that seems to fit... but of course there's a leak in one of my shitty welds... sigh.... time to take it all apart again.
