RB Oil Cooler Lines

I need help with the installation.

Do you have to attach them to the oil cooler before installation of the oil cooler itself?. I have my oil cooler off already. It appears that you have to thread them on the oil cooler itself and the AN fittings can then be attached to then the adapters on the engine.

Does the short one go to the top of the oil cooler?

Thanx

Michael

Michael-

What's up buddy...

I believe you can install the oil cooler first and then just install the lines afterward. Although I'm pretty sure you could do it either way...and it might even be easier to install them first while the oil cooler is out...

The short one goes from top of the cooler to the front of engine, the longer goes from bottom of the cooler to the rear of the engine.

Dude this was a recent mod i just preformed. my best advice would be to install the lines LOOSELY on the cooler if anything. i got the SS mazda trix lines and the SS is hard as **** to twist around so the banjo bolts don't cross thread. plus your hands get really slippery. attach everything loosely be for tighting. and don't forget the copper washers.

It's not a thread jack. The oil coller lines are for replacing ones that are leaking or piece of mind. Many on the cars now are over 15 yrs old. and STILL original. We don't all drive with our face glued to the gauges and when that oil line breaks, you won't know it until it starts smoking but then that's too late.
A better alternative is remove the lines and take it to a hydraulic shop. They can replace those lines with TFE hoses or stainless braid and use original connectors.
It's about half the cost of buying new lines and connectors. I did the latter and paid only $40. for both lines for TFE hoses.
