rattling noise

My FC is making a noise everytime I hit the accelerator. Its like a rattling noise but it only happens when Im on the road, hitting the gas. If Im parked, and rev it up, no rattling noise is heard. Has anyone experienced this problem before, and if so, how did you fix it?

DOES IT happen AT OR AROUND 60 mph??? if it is stop driving it and replace the driveshaft!!!

IF YOU WAIT TOO LONG IT WILL BREAK AND MESS UP YOUR TRANNY. tHE u-JOINTS SLOWLY WORE OFF AND EVENTUALLY BROKE AND BROKE THIS TRANNY.....buy another one or check out MAZDATRIX(theirs has replaceable U-joints)

Nice job!! I haven't seen that type of failure or damage before. Good advice.

Yep, sounds like a driveshaft failure. I had the exact symptom as mine was wearing down, before I broke the front u-joint at the track (repaired it with a heavy duty stainless zip-tie, and drove home slowly).

It looks like it's just the shift linkage housing? If so, then it can be removed and welded up.

Yep, sounds like a driveshaft problem. I replaced mine with one I purchased from Mazdatrix and it hasn't made the same rattling sound. Now for the other rattling sounds... =T
