ok so on the 4th of july i ran into a curb goin kinda fast (not exactly sure how fast... maybe around 35 or so) luckily it was one of those rounded ones that are in residential areas and the only thing that happened was the suspention prolly bottomed out. im not sure if it has to do w my problem but after that is when it started to happen. my radio cuts out for a second then comes back on. i installed it myself w the leftover harness and some other black box thing for the power antenna (sp? sorry.) so today i go to start my car (91 coupe) and nothing. no turning over nothing! the radio doesnt even go on so i figure its the electrical. i leave it in the accessory position and go take a look under the hood. everything looks ok, then the radio comes on. bingo. everythings ok from there on.


any clue what caused it/why? anything like that?
if it helps any my clock wont hold time and my cig. lighter doesnt work either but im pretty sure thats a fuse.

yea do you have power mirrors if they dont work neither then you have a blown fuse did you move the battery cables at all

 

i pushed them down more but i wasnt doing anything when it turned on. im not sure if the mirrors work or not... but i know that i replaced that fuse once already to make the mirrors work. but would that fuse have to do with the radio?

 

i dont think i know this because i had the same problem with my mirrors cig lighter and clock they are all on the same fuse i needed mine to be replaced so i replaced it but im almost positive that dont have nothing to do with your radio id suggest that a plug might have became loose but from what you said it just turned on when you werent doing nothing stumps me
