Radio antenna cannot go down, can it be fixed?

My S4 FC's radio antenna cannot go down, does anyone know how to fix it or should I need to replace another antenna unit?

If anyone have extra antenna unit for sale, please let me know thanks.

You can actually go to any Best Buy, Circuit City, etc. and they should be able to get you a replacement for it using the original motor if that isn't burnt out. You can hand crank your antenna down also simply by accessing it in the side of the panel, unplug the electricals, and hand crank it using the square bit in the middle of the motor housing. You'll see it as soon as you look at it.

A common failure is the flexible plastic rod which rolls up into the bottom of the antenna assembly when it is retracted. You can get a replacement at your Mazda dealer, and it's pretty easy to replace.

I am assuming that the antenna worked before, and just died now... not that you replaced the radio and it started happening? right?

do you still hear the motor working when you turn on and off your radio?if yes just buy the antenna mast from ebay for about $16.00. if not check the fuses and if they are ok i can send you a wire diagram to run the antenna up and down direct from the battery for test only.

Remember for best FM reception in North America you need an antenna 31-32 inchs tall.

One of those micky mouse shark or rubber antennas that are only 12 inchs or 6 inchs tall will not provide near half the reception quality that a antenna that reachs 31 inchs tall would.

true but if you by a decent radio/cd player most of them have a built in antenna. i have a pioneer premier 750-MP (i think) and didnt have the antenna hooked up and got great reception. But the real question is why do you want to listen to the radio, now a days they dont play anything good unless your listening to a Classic rock station
