You CAN get an 89-91, but you'll need the associated brackets from the S5.

Just look for part outs when you need stuff like that.
Brackets shouldn't be too hard to find... I would think.

Well cars don't run without a radiator. All the brackets I have I use on the new radiator.. custom make some? Just make sure they are not too stiff.

The difference is minimal on mounting holes, I used my s4 bracket on a s5 radiator. Just enlarged the mounting holes on the brackets and it fit very easily. Took me less than 10 min with a drill and a step drill bit

I would't bother with used 20+yr old radiators. Aluminum radiators are cheap. Getting a bracket tack welded to end tanks is very simple that any shop can do. All you need is some L bend brackets at any home improvement shops. I'm using a double pass radiator to have the in/ out on same side. You don't need name brand radiators. I had mine over 10 years with no issues.

Don't overlook the need for the coolant overflow nipple. Most S4's have it on the filler neck. S5's are on the radiator. You'll need at least one.
