Racing seats for 87 TII opinions ?!?!

Guys I'm looking for some new seats for my 87 TII. Any of you have corbeau seats? I'm just looking for recommendations here. So far the Corbeau Forza 2 gets my vote, of course the seat will be in black. Please tell me what you think

I wanted the same seat also, but all black, But I just noticed something.. I am a skiny guy, and it looks as thoe that seat, being that its so cheap has no pads on the side or anything... I would slide around in there... damn. I wonder if I could get some foam inserts somehow stuck in there.

I don't like the steel frame seats as much as composite seats, but they do have FIA certification. I like the wear patches.

LOL, yes, the regular Forza is the normal (36-38" waist) model. The Forza II is the "wide body" model that fits up to a 44" waist because it is about an inch wider (and also weighs 3 extra pounds).

My RX-7's have Momo seats that are even narrower than the Forza. They give lots of support, but Jennifer Lopez can't ride in any of my cars.

Yeah i'm skinny too. On the website it says the seat will fit up to a 44" waist. I could go with the orignial Forza 36-38" waist. I'm a 38" waist myself but some of my friends are a little bigger.... Also I don't want a chick with a nice a** not be able to sit in the 7. LOL and when i say that i don't mean fat chicks.

LOL Evil understands what i'm saying. I love the J Lo bodystyle lol.. I can't exclude them and besides I'm sure there would be a time when I'd be sorry for it

Corbeau is a good choice as they make brakets specifically for the FC.

Ewww get a different color man. Forzas is the ticket man. That is what I would get. I am also a 30" waist so I would fall out of that bitch lol!
I think i would have to get a Forza II for the passenger seat though. MY gurl got a nice trunk.

lol.... I dunno, I heard that somebody sat in the forza's and they thought they were actually tighter than advertized. I have no personal experience, but I was looking at the forza's as an option. 30" waist for me too

Hehehe, I actually tend to prefer the more classic Sandra Bullock / Jane Seymour body style, but I just don't like the idea of leaving J-Lo completely out of the picture. Actually, I have yet to be sorry for it, because it does rule out the hefties, and it makes for a great excuse, lol. However, after a few more divorces J-Lo may finally realize that Evil-A is the way to go, and then I will have to break out the good old redneck F-150 with the bench seat.

Check out the Momo seats. I have the Rookie in my 1Gen, and 1000 Lakes in my 2Gen. I have a 33" waist and fit in them quite well. I was 32" before I got fat, lol, but the seats were still good. I think the Momos would be good down to a 30" waist, but you would probably want to try one out first.

Some of the OMP seats also run pretty narrow.

You may need to get a custom Kirkey seat, lol.

Check out this Co. They seem to make a decent variety. Not sure about value, quality etc. Just thought I'd throw it out there.

adding on:

how do chicks figure out what size seat works for them? i'm thinking of getting a racing seat for the driver's side because the current seat is starting to hurt my hip on long drives. ('91 coupe) Do I just need to find a showroom and try 'em out, or can the waist measurement be used for hips too?

I've heard nothing but good things about sparco. Theirs seats are very high quality and if they don't work in your car you can buy seat rails from sparco. I've seen sparcos mounted in FC's before.

don't get the corbeau forza. I've got one in my car, and although its cheap and FIA sertified or wahtever, it sucks. its like a swimming pool. I'm about a 32 waist, and it WAY too big. also, it doesn't really have any shape to it. its got some nice shoulder support, but that's about it. also, the lower leg support thing is too close, it makes your legs stick up pretty far, so you have to move the seat pretty far forward to reach the pedals.
its really not very comfortable, or practical. it might be good as a race only seat though.

my brother has the corbeau A4 in his maxima. its great. everything seems to be perfect about it for me, except it could use a little bigger side boulsters. I'd reccomend the A4, or the TRS. the TRS has a little bit more lateral support than the A4. or sparco and momo have some pretty decently priced seats as well.

or, if you have a lot of money, I'd reccomend BRIDE or Recaro.

Kirkey seats are sized by hip width, and they can also make you a custom seat for not too much money.

Rather than "race" seats, you may want to consider "sport" seats which tend to be much more comfortable although not rated for racing.

Kirkey seats are temptingly cheap, but look seriously uncomfortable and I don't want to be rejected from a drag strip for not having them braced to a roll cage.

The Sparco Sprint is nice, and pretty cheap for real Sparcos.
