Racing Beat oil cooler hose, do I need washers ? *read*
Well, I don't think I need washers on the An-Fittings to the engine side.
but on the oil cooler side ---- it seems that it might be a good idea to put 2 stock washers with the lines.
Racing beat said it includes "Everything" you need for installation --- but they didn't say anything about the washer on the oil cooler part.
so ... for those who has RB (or any other brand) of oil cooler hose, did ya put any washer on the cooler side? Fitment is a bitch so I wanna make sure I don't(do) need it before I lock everything up.
I can email or call RB to ask but ---- I'm working can't make calls right now + email + wait takes too long.
oh yes, I did searched. nothing helpful came back.
Thx.

The Cork Sport and Racing Beat lines are two different animals though. There are no banjo bolts on the Racing Beat lines.
I have no experience with the Racing Beat lines, but the picture they show of the adapters for the engine side show washers with them (presumably for the engine to adapter mating). That makes me think they would include washers if they felt it was necessary for the oil cooler side. Hopefully, someone with experience with those lines can chime in.

I know the engine to an fitting adapter came with washers. Its installed already
Im just wondering if the cooler hose to oil cooler needs them, stock has 4(2 for each end) at the cooler side, but thats because stock is a banjo bolt and sandwich the cooler line. Well the most i think i need is 2. Just wondering if its needed. Oil leak is not cool.

The racing beat lines have special "tight" 90 fittings for the oil cooler. They are one pice 90 elbows with 18mm threaded ends for the oil cooler. You should use aluminum washers of the correct size (or whatever they provide).
They -10 AN to 18 and -10 to 16 metric adapters on the engine side also require washers. They use an adapter there because a 45 is needed at the cover rather than a 90 and there is space at the rear iron for an adapter and a standard 90.
Plus those low profile 90 hose end fittings with the 18 metric threads are very expensive...
When i constructed my dual cooler kit i just bought a bunch of 18mm washers in bulk, they are aluminum.
