Racing beat headers

I know the ones they sell now are crome. How long ago did they stop selling the black ones?

Cause I found one for sale and it's black. Just wondering the age of it.

Thanks

IIRC, about a year ago, but they'd sold them for a LONG time, so that's not much of an indicator. Plus, if it's stainless steel, it's as good as new, anyway. I've owned an RB header, and they're BEEFY - if I had an N/A and got a deal on 'em, I'd buy em again

(I still recommend the downpipe, though)

Why the downpipe and not the header?

Haha, it's a pun.
Actually, RB has a downpipe for NA. It replaces the 3 cats.

The only difference between header and downpipe for NA is the header replaces the exhaust manifold while the downpipe uses the manifold.

How was the header compared to the stock manifold and cats while running off the stock catback(power wise)?

Thanks

Headers sound like weedwhackers. I want one for performance, but not sound. It just depends on how you feel about cutting grass. It will add more HP, though...

For the ppl with headers, did you guys experience milage increase or decrease?

If I get better milage, they thing will pay for itself since I drive around 25k miles per year

Thanks

Hahaha... no, I suggested the N/A downpipe because it cuts down on the weedwhacker sound, and headers don't gain you that much more HP on a stock exhaust port engine. But like I said, if it's a deal, you might as well get it (check the prices of the downpipes, though. I seem to recall them being cheaper than the price you're quoting for the headers!)

Then again, buying a TII (like I did) is the ultimate power mod!
