I am currently searching for a racing beat catback for my rx-7. I have found that racing beat charges way too much for their products. Racing beats dealers sell them for around 5% cheaper. Thats only about 40 or so bucks, but I would rather spend that money on a full tank of gas.

it's pricey but it's worth it though. Look in the For Sale section for a good deal ( i got my RB turbo-back for 350 bux used but in excellent condition instead of $1200 New)

RB is pricey, but like everyone always says, its for sure worth the price. You get what you pay for. I have a RB streetport system on my FB and its been on there for probably 6-8 years and its still sounding great and with minimal rust. The old FB systems werent polished SS like the newer FC kits, its only painted mild steel as far as I can tell.

Racing Beat has the goods in stock, of course taxes and shipping are also factors to consider. I bought my vert RB DP from the source despite the tax.

Another option is the SS Autochrome / Motoria "Beat Style" cat-back...

Dual with Y is $575:

I use these pipes with a RB DP and Random Technology hi-flow cat. Very happy so far, not using the silencers they included. This SS Autochrome kit seems to be good quality stuff.

They've also got what looks like a decent full TURBO-back kit for $350:

#1 thing DO NOT COMPARE THE MOTORIA KIT WITH RACING BEAT. They are not Similar, they are not alike, and they do not remotely resemble the RacingBeat exhaust in TONE, QUALITY and LOUDNESS.

with that said; Motoria is cool too. A tad on the loud SIDE BUT DECENT FOR THE $$. iF i LIVED IN A STATE/COUNTY WHERE THERE WERE NO EMISSIONS, **** COPS(sorry for caps, i'm too lazy to re-type,) and noise ordinances then I would buy the Motoria kit again. Since I like in CA I cannot roll around with the motoria kit (unless I want to be pulled over 5 times a day) so I'll stick with Racing Beat.

SS Autochrome is nice, I was looking at one a while back but they say they are out of stock of the duel kit for the next 2 months at least.

Quality

I have had 2 RB exhaust systems. One for my 1st gen (died in a fire) and one on my current 2nd gen. Whenever I start looking for exhaust, I look nowhere else. The quality of the product you get, the way it all fits EXACTLY like they say it should and the performance increase it well worth the couple extra dollars to get it. Do not even think about it. Just do it.

Are you referring to the SS Autochrome / Motoria Y dual cat-back, the single full turbo-back or both?

IME the dual cat back was not too loud at all with the stock cats. With the RB DP and RT cat it can be pretty loud, but not so much that I feel I need the silencers in and you can control it when need be. I'm in Cali too, so we'll see if the officers agree, but so far, so good...

I have no clue about the single pipe turbo back they sell though.

You are correct, but Dokta said he was looking for the RB cat back, not the whole exhaust. To be fair to SS Autochrome, the "Beat Style" cat back is what one might compare to the equivalent RB components, not the single pipe turbo back, which makes no claim of "Beat Style".

Not sure how happy RB is about this "Beat Style" stuff...

I paid a decent amount less for the knock-off when they were selling them on eBay, but at the current $30 price difference, for me the Racing Beat is a no brainer, esp. with a 2 month wait on the Autochrome.

Another downside to Autochrome is the piping. The diameter steps down at the flanges. Probably not enough to matter, but when Im buying a $500+ system I expect to get what I paid for. They call it a true 3'' system. To me thats a bit false

theres no comparation betwen RB and any other company (other that REamemaya) i had a corksprt ehaust on my car and it was way loud and i just swich to RB rev2 exhaust and it sound almost stock. sometime i have to look in idle at the tack to see if it running. is expensive but is the best you can get and i know you wont get pulled over for loud exhaust unless the cop wanna be a a$$

Thats not completely true, the SS Autochrome is a Turboback for $575, the RB is a catback for $605. they just for some reason didnt put up the correct pieces. Missing the DP and Midpipe

Racing Beat FTW. I've been monitoring most RX7 forums looking for a used RB catback to complete the RB system already in place.

yup, I guess cops are more lenient in some places and not so much in others. I avoided the whole issue by going RB. The drone at Freeway speeds gets annoying also.
