R152a Air Conditioner Refrigerant

Stock 1987 N/A: In a recent (quite lengthy) thread it was stated that a comparable replacement refrigerant for older model cars (like ours) was R152a. Is this a true statement? Recharge existing stock systems without expensive conversions? If so, where can I get it?

It is used in keyboard duster cans. I recently bought a 3-pack from BigLots for $10. Some contain the bittermint so it's not huffed. I haven't seem any problem using it though.

theres kits that you ccan get that have R12 compatable refridgerants. just read the side of the can when you buy it.

note: just about nothing works as well as R12, but nothing will kill you quite like R12 either.

R12 is harmless health wise. What is bad about it, is that so many ******* idiots just released into the atmosphere, and now we have a hole in the ozone layer.
