tps adjustment screw, what the hell

followed the directions here to adjust the tps. FC3S Pro v2.0:&nbsp TPS adjustment for 1986-1988 RX-7 Turbo II models

but when turning it to get it to 1k ohm, the screw ran out of thread at 2k and i cant turn the screw anymore. do i need a longer screw or something? what would cause this and how can i fix it?

basically i screw the screw all the way down but im getting 2k ohms on the multi meter

that means your sensor is way out of spec and you need a new one.

I have a couple S5 NA units for sale. Pm me if you'd need one. Definitely a fried TPS here. If you have an S5 turbo, all you'd need to do is reverse the narrow and wide band plungers on the bracket.

Edit: Just noticed your link only covers S4. Thought it said 86-91!

Follow the factory method for the S5. 2nd Gen TPS Adjustment
I have not had the 1k ohm trick work on my S5, but this did.
