Get a straight-through, but get an offset entry / exit design...
This will quiet the exhaust noticably.
Walker Dynomax UltraFLO oval mufflers come to mind.

?

does anyone have this silencer?
im curious on the noise level and preformance vs the original silencer.
this automatically adjusts when it has more pressure (when you floor it)..well read for yourself.

That silencer is only made for A'PEXi exhaust systems.
It's not made a universal piece.

Yes, that will quiet the exhaust down.
It also chokes the engine.

Stop threadjacking.
Start your own thread, bitch.

Anyone who uses silencer inserts to quiet down their exhausts are pussies.

Yea I got a magnaflow muffler. Expensive and still loud as hell. Maybe because of my bridgeport though. I would love to find a smooth flow quiet or at least deep growl muffler.

Any power you gained from the free flowing exhaust is pissed away with those silencers.

i want too build it as a sleeper but still breath heavy as hell. I have 50 series flowmasters on a bigblock and they dont do much to quiet it down and they are an offset baffle design

Building a quiet yet high flowing exhaust takes many mufflers. Thats the main thing.

For best results, use a resonator or offset muffler in the single section of the exhaust, and run offset dual mufflers at the rear. Its nearly impossible to build even a relatively quiet, high flowing single system. My exhaust on my TII is tame compared to every single setup I've run (some with 4 resonators!!)

You could even get away with a more restrictive muffler when running duals since the actual mufflers "need" to flow is lessened by the fact that theres two in series.

I'll give away my secret...

I've got two Magna-Flows. The mid one is HUGE , the one on the tip is a little smaller.
My Downpipe is 3.5", The middle magnaFlow is 3.5" inlet and 2.5" outlet.

The trick is, exhuast cut-out...
My system is super quiet, but when I need to get on it... open dump!!!

I'm running 1 Bonez superflow with presilencer.

2 of these in the stock location after the y-pipe.

Sound is mellow and deep down low in the power band; it gets pretty dominant when rpms rise, but never harsh or shrill.
