quick wiring question

lets say one is putting in a complete s4 engine into a s5
do i have this right?

drop engine in, put the s4 wiring harness thru the firewall, put in new ecu, take out the old gague cluster, and install the s4 one?
does the original wiring that goes from ecu to gague cluster needs to be changed?

i thought that swap had to do with swapping over everything from the s5 to the s4, then use the s5 wiring harness with s5 ecu.

You're putting in an S4 engine into an S5 because you're afraid to deal with reconnecting all the vacuum hoses and electrical connections. That makes no sense at all. S4 engines have just as many hoses and plugs.
