can u soak the whole turbo assembly in something like castrol superclean? as in would i damage the seals or anything? thanks guys

 

oh damn don't know the answer to that question but I would think not. What most people do if a turbo is that dirty is take the housings off and clean them as well as maybe polish the compressor side while your at it. I don't think I would like castrol super clean around the bearings and other parts that need lots of lubrication. I may be way off if I am I'm sure someone will call me on it.

are there any aluminum parts? castrol superclean eats aluminum. you can use it to clean some aluminum parts but do not soak them in it for extended periods of time.

 

NO! dont do that! Just spray it with simple grean straight its alot less harsh then purple stuff and will work! use a wire brush and scrub scrub and you can use a presure washer if desired just cover all the holes and dont spray into the fins and you should have like a shirt stuffed up here and taped. Remember more time you spend the bettor it will look.
