Quick ? on TT install. Location of ebrake sensor?

Well I just got a Blitz DTT DCII. Now for the questions.

Just wanted to make sure I have the right wire. Is it under the center console where the power mirrors/foglights are? Is it a somewhat thick black wire?

I have everything hooked up already except the ebrake sensor and the vacuum line to read boost pressure. For the vac line can I just tee it into where my blitz boost gauge is already? It says to put it somewhere after the TB.

Thanks

This is what I found in the FSM.

You will need to trace the wires.

A good location for the boost gauge line is the nipple that used to supply the cold start secondary double throttle hold off.

I just tapped the brake line myself for the apexi turbo timer I bought.

I would highly recommend soldering the connection if you can do it. It is very easy to do it on the connection for the brake. Once you get acccess to it.

The way I did it was:

I already had the stereo surround out. then pulled the console that had the arm rest out of the way, and then it was easy access from there. (I could have done it with it in, but I cleaned it out anyways...)

The connector you need to push down on to release from the metal piece.. but mine was facing down for some reason. Maybe the previous owner. if you dont see a place to push and release the wire from the brake then try reaching under and pushing it up to release it.... I just ended up pulling with some force and it came off anyways....

Then if you take a needle and move the metal piece slightly down (inside the plastic connector you just unhooked) you should be able to slide out the metal pin from the plastic piece...

Now you have easy access to solder that brake wire in there.. (just make sure you use a light amount of solder evenly etc so you can slide the metal piece back in.)

Then reassemble and you are good to go...

I personally prefer solder to the T connections they give you to snap cut the wire etc... Just gives headaches later on... The prevous owner used all these T connections for the alarm system he installed.

Good Luck!

Got a picture of where that is? Or maybe if you just tell me I can figure it out. The reason I'm asking is because I already have 3 tees coming off the intake manifold splitting up the blitz boost gauge, bov and pressure sensor. I really don't want 4 tees in that small location. Would several tees cause inaccurate readings assuming none of the lines are kinked and as short as possible. My blitz boost gauge moves correspondingly with the stock one.

No go guys. I pulled out the center console and found a red wire with a red wire tap. The red wire went through the whole wire tap to the sensor. I tapped my purple ground wire into the free slot of the wire tap but it still didnt activate the turbo timer. Any ideas?

Everything on the turbo timer is hooked up correctly but it will not idle the car when I shut off. I'm pretty sure it's the parking brake ground but don't know if I did something wrong.

Are you sure you don't have the 12v wire and the ign wire mixed up in the console... I know when I put my apexi one in I had the two reversed and the timer would come on but not idle the car down.

Since the instructions were in japanese I thought I did pretty good for the work, then I tried switching the two. Still came on with the car, and now it idles it down like it should.

When you break is on I take it your idiot lite comes up for the brake as well? If not then well the timer of course wouldn't work. Since its running off the same sensor...

Hmm... I'll have to double check. The blitz optional harness I got have 4 plugs (2 of each) but had different colored wiring. I guess I'll try swapping the plugs around and checking. Yea my idiot brake light comes on.

By the way I received instructions in English as well as Japanese if anybody wants them.

Good news everyone. Looks like I switched up a plug. Everything works fine. If anybody needs help with the install or instruction manual shoot me a PM.

It is funny how they used two of the same identical plugs for ign and 12v, ... could have at least made it a slightly different design. So you couldn't reverse it....

Ahh well glad to hear you got it working.
