Quick question...
The tps on these cars is totally different from any I've seen before, looks kinda like a push-button to me. My question is, is it supposed to only come out so far? 'Cause mine seems to be fully out at half throttle. It does need to be replaced, I ohmed it yesterday and it would read about 1.2 at idle, but it didn't read anywhere in the swing, and fully extended read like 9.7 ohms.

Ya that TPS is bad if you can't get a reading while its moving.
Your TPS is called a short range TPS. Goes to about 1/4 throttle then the ECU just knows your past 1/4 throttle but doesn't know where
You could adjust the tps for at idle so that it reads right but you would still be getting bad sidefects from the bad TPS.
You would quickly learn the the Throttle Position Sensors used in our cars..... SUCK. No way around it though.
