quick question

i have an 88 gxl and next to the light-up security "button" theres a rectangular "button" that does nothing, no light up nothing. is there anything on a later model or something that is in there, head rest speaker on/off switch or something.

i think some ahve suspension adjustment there, but ive nevre owned one with it.

are you sure its a button (it presses in)???

There is normally a blank panel next to the security light on the 86-88 GXL models

i think by "button" he means "raised flat plastic piece" and it looks kinda like a button. Thats why he put quotes around it.......i think.......

exactly, buy any ideas of what to put there? it cant control engine activitys cuz a passenger could accidently hit it

On S5 models that is where the switch for the fog lights is.

On 90-91 convertibles that is where the switch for the power convertible top is.

I understand (although have never seen it) on the Euro models with required rear fog lights, that is where the rear flog light switch is.

On my GTU it was blank. I put in a switch for an amplifier. On my GXL it's for the factory driving lights.

how do you hook those up with a switch? i know its in the archives but is there an "easy" way, it looked hella complicated

No. The AAS which is available on GXL models has a separate control switch in the location of that little cion holder It has two buttons on it, normal and sport.
