Vert strut/spring combo opinions

i was doing some searching on this site for struts and spring recommendations for a vert, and decided to go with KYB AGXs and RB vert springs. my question is do you think this is a good setup for Autox/drifting, or should i go with tokico illuminas or HPs or what? want your guys' opinions.

Also ive heard that racing beat sway bars are nothing but vert sway bars with the RB name on em, but what about the suspension techniques and the eibach, same thing, or will they be worth it on a vert?

thx

For drifting, the harder the better (to a certain degree). Just go with adjustable coilovers, you'll be able to switch between a bumpy stiff ride and a somewhat comfortable ride. They cost some $$$ but they are worth it. The rb sway bars a replacement for the old ones, but your handling would improve if you got them for your swaybars being over 17years old and worn.

Those springs are all too soft for drfting, IME.

I'd go with the KYB AGX's over the Tokico Illuminas anyday.

i assume that this is your driver and is not a dedicated drift car correct? if so, the RB springs with kyb agx's would be a good compromise between comfort, performance, and price. if you have a little more cash, you can a set of eibach "coilover" springs and a set of kyb agx's. this will give you some more choices for a little stiffer spring rate. if you really have some cash, get a fully adjustable coilover such as tein, silkroad, jic, etc...they are by far the best setup but are $$$.

ok first off I have kyb agx struts and RB vert springs. First off I like the adjustability of the agx and the RB springs are nice and stiff and give it a little drop. But however I will be changing this and buying ground control coilovers to add to my agx's I already have. Reason is I need to run a larger tire on the rear because over time you mod your car to have more power so on and so forth. Also having a GC coils allow you to run heavier springs than offered for the 2nd. Plus being able to adjust ride hieght in between your drift runs and "what you actually run on the street" should be way different so coils bridge that gap. GC's are 400 bucks and RB vert springs are half that. Spend the extra 200
