Quick Premix/OMP Question
I just noticed one of the four lines coming from my OMP looks dry. Until I can address this issue, should I premix? How much oil should I add to a full tank?

An oz a gallon.
Remove the banjo bolt on the supposed dry line. Hold the engine at 2000rpm while lifting up fully on the omp rod. Do that for a couple of minutes. See if oil is coming out the hole where the banjo bolt was. You do that to determine if one of the small holes in the pump is blocked up. If oil is coming out, try a couple of things.
Swap that supposed dry hose with one of the other hose on the omp. Then go drive for twenty miles or so and look again at the Dry hose. OR just rev the engine over 2000 rpm in the driveway while HOLDING THE OMP ROD fully up for five minutes. Then see if the *dry*hose has filled or not.
Or if your adventurous.......get three common non banjo bolts and install them in the three *wet* holes to block off the output from those holes. Leave the *dry* hole connected to its line. Go drive for twenty miles and look at it again. It should be full.
It's not critical that you mix one oz two stroke oil with one gallon. A bit more or less won't make a bit of difference for what your doing.

TCW 2 stroke oil at Walmart, any gas station, etc. Add 1 oz. per gallon of gas.
Needing to do this every time you fill up for gas isn't my definition of "superior", even though it does lube better. Not to mention the horrific consequences if you don't add the 2 stroke when you fill up.
1. Premix for now. Don't forget even once. Heck, if it were me I'd add regular motor oil before driving to get the 2 stroke oil.
2. Verify that there really is a problem using a Haynes manual/FSM/etc.
3. Fix problem.
