I want to order the power fc from japan for the 1990 s5 turbo for various reasons over the haltech, most of because where i live and the support for haltech is close to zero, i dont want another blown engine, i've been looking through these threads and searching.. most fd's either us a datalogit or ship it out to xs engineering to get it tuned..i have intake, rb turbo back, and want to put in a t04b 60-1 and the proper mods that go along with it, about 350 rwhp, can just the commander/power fc handle it without having to send it out?The fd's seem to work well with that much power. i mean it is just a basic power fc. i'll call some authorized dealers to see if they support it..im just trying to get as much info as i can..if things go good this will be my choice for a stand alone.

yes the commander is enough, its just more time cunsuming to do it that way. the datalogit is really cool, it makes tuning really simple

I've heard they released a PFC for the FC's but I haven't seen anything listed for them anywhere (that includes .jp sites that i diddle around on when bored)

i was always under the impression that Apexi never officially released a Power FC for the FC...buuuuuuuut

the ones available are reprogrammed FD versions...not sure who does it though...

 

Long as it works, it doesnt bother me.. but i'm sure it was meant for the fc. i cant read japenese but i managed to get into the fc3s section and did see the power fc in this url that j9fd3s originally gave to me because i was looking for base maps for the fc.http://border-racing.com/main/border/info-rom.htm

 

If your really interested, u can goto www.altavista.com and there is a section where it says translate from japenese to english.. from there u can translate upto 150 words from the japenese web site.. i'll copy and paste some of the things from the japenese website itself
