Quick oil ?

aight ive been running 10W-40 for a while and i dont know what the guy before me ran.(i read that we should put 10W-30 in it)
now is there anyway that my high RPM smoking could be realted to the sluge and what not that might still be in the motor from the 10W-40?
i would guess not but im trying to go through all my options bc i dont have the time or moeny right now to rebuild that motor it still runs great just smokes at high RPMS

No. In Texas though, you can run 20/50.

I doubt your problem is caused by "sludge". I've used nothing but 10w-40 and have owned 4 rotaries since 1986.
