I should have phrased the question differntly... I lost a bunch of those nuts and I'm gonna go to HD and replace, but I don't know what size I need. Maybe I should have asked for the size of the bolts. But thanks for the quick reply.

I think the ones that hold the black plastic intake elbow to the throttle body are the same size. Take one of those off and check.

Yea, that's probably what I will do. But I didn't drive my 7 to work and I had to go past HD later... I guess the nuts will have to wait till this weekend.

Yea... Ijust bought some halo lights, wired them up and drilled holes into the stock brackets so they could fit. The wiring was a bitch to hide, but besides that it wasnt too complicated.

I think rx7girl from the forum is selling her own kits for the duel headlights on eBay now. wish someone was making a reasonably priced kit before I did my own lights... that would have saved me a few hours....

oh yes my words! it was a bitch to install!! i also cut the lift of the headlight motor by half! put in some lenses (Hella alike)! beam is much better at night (not difficult, regarding FC stock beam performance)!

Ok, so when I was in the hd, I just grabbed a whole bunch of nuts of different sizes cause I didnt see a M8 X1.5... They were measure by like 5/8, 1/2, 3/4, etc... It turned out to be the 5/16s...

I'm not sure if it's good to put a standard nut on a metric bolt. But... oh well.

No, they are not 5/16". They are M8 x 1.5. It just so happens that 5/16" is close enough so that if the threads are a little "loose", then they will fit. However, if the threads are "tight", then you will damage them if you try and put the 5/16" nut on.

Hardware stores in the States generally don't stock metric stuff. I find this strange, since metric is a world standard measurement for everything. However even Americans can generally get metric stuff at a real fastener store or larger "big box" store.

I go to Ace Hardware and they have them. This is even in a small redneck town that despises imports.

Ok... I didnt know this... That must be why the nuts didnt work on all of the bolts and why it wouldnt work on my doors... The HD nor Lowes has metirc nuts so I will try and find an "Ace Hardware" this weekend. Thanks you guys, cause I was wondering why it fit on some of the bolts but not on others...

There should be a nuts and bolts shop somewhere in town. Temple has one and its only got 50k people, so ft lauderdale must have one. They will generally have almost anything you need. The only thing I've needed so far that they didn't have was the super long tranny bolt that goes right behind the starter. I managed to bend mine (don't ask) but I ended up having to go pull it from a damn car in the junk yard.

I go to a fastener supplier like Sideways7 says, but you can find the common metric fasteners at Home Depot and Lowes if you look in the specialty item drawers. In the Same aisle as the rest of the nuts and bolts you'll find a bunch of drawers with specialty items (bushings, fancy screws, etc.) in them, including metric fasteners.

Here in San Antonio, I go to a place called fasten-all, or something like that. There, I can buy a bag of 25 metric nuts, bolts, or whatever, for about the price of a package of two at H.D., and they're a better grade as well. Plus, they have a complete selection of individual metric taps and dies in all sizes.
