I think OP failed to initially mention he already had BBK on the front. Now it makes sense to put the rear BBK to keep it "even". We were all (at least I was) confused wondering why anyone would upgrade the rear brakes and not the front.

that frankly looks pretty ghetto to me... there is an awful lot of grinding...

I've frankly never heard of anyone upgrading their rear brakes... they're already vented which is better than most cars. (s2000s have solid rear rotors)

are you actually overheating your rear brakes on the track? or did you just totally mess up your balance with a front BBK...

I spoke to the folks at Corksport yesterday during my 12 min. lunch break. (lol What can I say, I love my job)
The kit does in fact come with adapter plates to move the calipers outward from the hub center. The grinding (clearancing) of the caliper is minimal and is only required to allow for the increased rotor radius. Otherwise the pad would not make full contact with the rotor. Seams pretty logical.
To answer your question eage8, I felt it was necessary to increase the rear brake size proportionatly with the fronts to keep the entire system balanced. I cant see over-working the stock rears in an attempt to keep pace with 12.75+" front rotors.

Anyway, I ordered the last rear brake conversion Corksport had left in stock. From here on, the cost of this kit will go up drastically due to the increased cost of the RS/RZ rotors through Mazdaspeed (I assume that's who CS gets them from). I inquired about replacement rotors and was informed that they are now approx. $400 for the pair!
I will post up a few pics of the kit when it arrives.
