questionable rotor housings

I am rebuilding my na 13b in hopes to turbo it after its broken in again. once getting it open I saw that my rear iron was toast, the front one could probably stand to be lapped and my housings are questionable. one only has visible lines that are perpendicular to what chatter maks would be and the other one has these same lines but they can barely be felt. on both housings there is a small amount of flaking around the edge.

the worse of the two

lines are only visible

Goopy performance might be able to recondition your rotor housings. I've never personally used them but I've read good things about their service. I'd be hesitant to use those housings as-is if you can feel the wear.

Thats what I thought, it is very light what you can feel but that likely means a loss of compression. Have you heard of the company that does a surface re-grind of the housing?(I can't think of the company's name)

I have resurfaced housings that I'd let go for cheap, if interested, let me know!

only thing is I am on a pretty tight budget right now( I know, I know, rx7s and budget don't go well together) so would these housings work well enough? if not ill keep saving up and get some better ones.

If youre on a budget and the chrome plating has not actually faked off of the housings towards the bottom between the lower spark plugs and exhaust port i would refuse them. Youre never going to get great compression even after break in, but it'll be enough to run(maybe 90-100psi).

So plans have changed slightly and I got a turbo 2 that lost an apex seal and took the housing with it. The rotor is a little banged up but i think it will be ok. Now I want to reuse this N/a housing i have but im not sure about some,of the edge chrome flaking.

spec for that (its wear, the corner of the apex seal digs in there, it seals well, but it wears the housing), is 2mm, we usually double that in America cause we're poor

the Japanese manual is nice, they left a bunch of stuff out of the USA ones, http://foxed.ca/rx7manual/manuals/13...E%20MANUAL.pdf
