no. there have been 30000 threads about this. they DONT work. but its your car, do what youd like. cheaper alternative would be to wire a leaf blower up to your intake.

Yea It can be setup, but for the cost, you could buy a complete running TII.

Ya but not about this type of electric SC. its not parasitic on the alternator... Could be a better mod for the NA and it makes a lot of prexssurized air. I've tried some of thos crappy "leaf blowers" and the specs for this are far from different...The only thing thats troubling is the price... but if you look into the site, the guy gives smthin like $500 discount for sponsership... maybe a group buy test or smthin?

It also weighs over 90lbs. And is battery powered. That is how its non parasitic on the alternator. Because youre lugging around 50lbs of batteries.

Buy a running TII for $2k? Haha, right, maybe one with heavy rear end damage.

Now, on the other hand, you could probably build a mock TII for $2k.

It doesnt seem like a bad idea. Hopefully someone will get it and provide some real data for FCs. But one thing would deter me from purchasing that product:

You have a 'fish' symbol on your site. What does that mean?

A 'fish' was used by early Roman Empire Christians as a simple sign to one another during times when being a Christian could cost you your life. Thomas (Geoff) Knight is a Christian and believes God owns everything anyway and so honors Him and his son Jesus Christ by proudly wearing or placing the 'Christian fish' symbol on all of our merchandise and ads. We are NOT ashamed of Christ or what He stands for. If you have any questions regarding our faith please contact Geoff Knight at 786-243-2000

It's one thing to put the fish on the pictures but as soon as they permanently affix it to their product they lose my business. I think its ridiculous to try to hock your religion while selling your product. Keep work and church seperate. The last thing i want is a religious fanatic supercharger.

Oh, and the 15 second burst thing, dumb.

"he's not endorsing religion"

i think every1 agrees that he is...

anyways, yeah 15 secs is dumb. i think he just connected 3 starter motors together. starter motors are very powerful but they can only be run for 30 secs max with 2 min cool down inbetween. if you really want that thing, you should try and make one yourself. maybe u can find a scrapped supercharger core.

the only thing i wonder about is where would it fit. the things pretty big. looks like it was designed to sit in the bank of a v8 youd have to fabrikate somthing for it to blow into that would then get ducted to the TB.

The reason I said get a TII:
I saw no bypass in the unit for normal driving, so you would have to build an external intake path for when it's not running.
Anyone who has done that level of fabricating can tell you how fast costs add up.
I'll bet you end up with over $4K in it, by the time you get it running.

Then there is the issue of how much torque will the NA diveline can handle before things start breaking.

i've got an na doing a TII conv.

as for the last bit... the manufacturer suggested 5-7 psi of boost. thats about how much the few that boosted NA motors are running.
