I have searched on the forum and are yet to find some that has posted how to install the unit. I know there are people out there who have it. Anyone have pics of the install. Also what wires go to where. I ordered the unit a few days ago and it should be in, in a week or so. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Oh hell! Chris got sleepy eyes!

The manual that comes with the Pivot does tell you how to hook it up - it's a pretty simple installation. It splices into the headlight switch harness, and I think there's at least a ground wire, maybe a power wire, that also has to be hooked up.

I installed Jay's and it was pretty easy. Let me know when you get it and I'll give you a hand if the instructions are vague - they *will* be in Japanese, but the pictures are pretty clear.

Ive got the pivot controller, i went to their website for install instructions. Ive spliced the red/yellow wire like it said int the instructions and it doesnt work. Did i tap into the wrong wire?

 

was this ever figured out? I need help too

I got it to work. Cant remember which wire it was though. I have the workshop manual, but it is back in pcola, look for the headlight control wire that is positive. You just splice into that and you are ready to go. It might be red with white stripe.

 

I have the "half unit x" version with 6 wires. i'm pretty confused.

has anyone installed this one?
