question on removing the essentric shaft lockbolt..
hey everyone, I dont have an impact wrench, and i need to remove the lockbolt so that i can put on my new front cover. This is the last thing i need to do to my car for the swap to be complete. How do you guys remove the bolt with out an impact wrench? I mean if i HAVE to i will go n buy like an electric impact gun, but i would rather not.
Thanks guys

Yea you can. The flywheel has a slot so when you jam a pipe in there it will lock.
All you need is an extension bar onto a 1/2" driver and it will come off. It's not torqued THAT high. I've never had one that was too difficult that I had to use other means. By the way, make sure you have someone push in the clutch or find a way to have the clutch depressed so everything is meshed together up front. If not careful , the needle bearing / thrust washer could drop off it's location without the clutch depressed. Other than that, it's all straight forward. You should also do the thermal pellet mod or get a solid pellet since you are there.

Three Feet Total of Breaker Bar/Cheater Bar, No Luck
1.5ft Breaker Bar With A 5ft Steel Pipe Over it... 3 People Holding The Engine Down, 1 Person Putting All Their Weight On It=Broken Breaker Bar and Still A Stuck Nut
Comparison of 1.5ft Breaker Bar and 5ft Pipe/Cheater Bar
Broken Breaker Bar
Sometimes you do

LOL... yup the e- shaft bolt not the flywheel bolt.
Sometimes you have to use brute force on those flywheel nut and if that fails, torch that **** to loosen the thread locking adhesive. Then it comes right off.
