Question question about ways to get rid of my R sticker on my car ?_?

I didn't pass my emissions test. I removed my air pump(and acv) while installing my racing beat exhaust. I'm gonna put a 89 intake(I'm gonna follow a writeup) on and replace all the vac lines. I don't know enough about emissions, I just wanted to know what else I might be able to replace to get it to pass. (I am getting a new airpump from the graveyard when I go for a few things for my intake swap).

I didn't post this just because I want posts and I haven't needed to really ever post anything. You guys have some amazing writeups, Keep it up.

besides I like having the big R on my window. WE all know the R is for racing.

It's either in the FAQ or archives and it's a sure fire way to beat emissions testing. Look for it. That should help your immediate problem...sure is neat living in a state that doesn't have auto emissions testing.

It stands for Rejected. Or at least it did in NJ. Back when I lived there, they would put a sticker in your windshield to show that the vehicle passed emission. The sticker will have the date that your next inspection is due. If it failed emissions, they would put a red sticker with the letter R in your window. The fucked up part is that this red sticker doesn't have a date on it showing when you failed. So every time you pass a cop they can pull you over for driver a vehicle that failed emissions. The inspection facility gave you a pink card with the date and time that you failed, what you failed for and how many days you have to get it fixed, which was 2 weeks if I remember correctly. You have to show this card to the cop when he pulls you over so he can see that you are in your 14 day grace period. The red flag sucks cause you can go down the road and get pulled over by the city police, then keep going down the same road and get pulled over by the county sheriff, then right after that you'd get hit by state troopers.
