Question about Subs

Hey, I was wonder if there are separate sub wires. I hooked up my subs to the rear speaker output and I get hardly any bass out of them. Wondering what I did wrong.

Thanx,
Bryan

Are you running subs without an amp?

You hooked up your subs to a speaker output? You need to be running those subs off a seperate amp, those outputs don't carry enough juice to push the subs.

great a deck with rca out, seperate amp and wiring kit. Leave all 4 of your normal speakers alone, and hook the amp to the deck via, rca plugs and hook your amp to the battery, hook the subs to the amp...not that hard

Yep like they said. If your subs are worth a darn you have to have power running to them from an amp.

What kind of subs are you running? And what type of head unit?

So you are you using a RCA adapter that runs off the rear speakers? Not to the headunit. If so that's your problem you need to be running the signal directly from the headunit.

um.. if you are using the RCA Rear output... then it would only make sense that you are getting more bass from them when you put the fade to the back... rear output+rear fade= more going to rear output therefore more to the speaker(s) hooked to the rear output....... i must be misunderstanding because no one can be this stupid

Do it right & get multiple amps.. with e digital crossover. use just the RCA's and you will be alot happier.

and replce your stock speakers with better ones.

you are using an RCA?? you need to hook up the amp with the high level imput (I think it's called that). basicly hooking up speaker wire as the input. a decent amp will have both RCA inputs and high level imputs. rca's are better but you can only run that off a deck with RCA outs
