Question about replacing pulleys

I'm replacing my S4's stock pulleys with a set off an FD so I could go serpentine. I've searched and come up with conflicting answers. Do you or don't you have to remove the e-shaft bolt to do this? Will the FD pulleys fit on the FC hub?

And since I'm retaining the AC compressor and don't have power steering I'd like to find out if the AC/PS pulley is one piece or 2.

Sorry to have to ask such mundane questions but was hoping to get a clear answer. Even checked the fsm for the info on the ac/ps pulley but didn't find any clues there either.

Thanks for the reply Carzy, But what wont work? The FD pulleys on an FC hub? Cause if that's the case, I guess I'll be looking for an FD hub too then.

you are risking throwing off your timing by doing this. many people say that the hub and the pulleys are a matched set

the main problem is the alignment of the main pulley and the water pump pulley, that and the water pump pulley has a different mounting flange. also there is no timing marks on the main pulley. and lastly, the "gear" ratios are different but can't remember if would cause an overdrive or underdrive effect.

My bad, I forgot to mention that the h20 pump pulley came off an RE. Anyway, got it done. Timing marks seem to be the same location.
Now I can run my FD alt if I can figure out which way it's supposed to be wired.
Thanks for the help though.
