no we don't know why lol we are not there to diagnose man. We need as much info as you can dump on us to help you out. SImplest thing to do is go get a compression test and see what is going on. If it comes back bad your fucked. If not then just adjust the idle to make it idle at 750rpms

...94% correct.
best way to tell if it's "one-rotoring":
Disconnect plugs to rear rotor. Start car. If it runs then at least you've got the front rotor. If not then your front rotor may be out. Stop car if necessary. Connect wires back to rear rotor and disconnect wires to front rotor. Start car. If it runs then the rear rotor is working, if not, then the rear may be out.
Be careful...don't grab metal objects in the engine bay or the wires them selves while the engine is running...I'd tell you why but I'm assuming two things...you're not an idiot and that experience is the best teacher.

Easy. Just do a compression test by ear. TAke out your bottom two spark plugs and turn it over by hand. You should hear three compression pulses from each rotor. If you wanna know for sure, take out the spark plugs on only one rotor, and spin it. Then put those spark plugs back in and take out the spark plugs on the other rotor. If its different, i.e. you don't get three compression pulses from one, then its gone.
Another easy way to check is after it has been running for a few minutes. Take out the spark plugs. If any of them are dripping in gas, then there is a problem.
And a quick question...Who rebuilt your engine?
