JDM harness is shorter than the U.S. harness due to the position of the ECU. You CAN use the JDM harness but many people (myself included) would say that it'd be easier to modify the U.S. N/A harness assuming you're doing a N/A to TII swap.

Dont waste your time with the JDM harness. Theres plenty of people on the forum and online who will sell the one that fits for a reasonable price

No problem. It's actually a very simple process when you go into it fully prepared.

just a suggestion be very careful when buying jdm motors they're stored improperly and were brought on a ship that was around open salt water for about a month and 9 times out of 10 they will need a rebuild.

You can consider all NA engine management harnesses of the same series to essentially be the same, whether they are for autos or manuals. That being said, NA EM harnesses are not at all the same as TII EM harnesses. You shouldn't consider adapting an NA harness for a TII; it's just not worth the trouble, and you will lose a couple things (ASV, knock box).

Look at the jpg attached. See the wire colors in ( )???? Those wires are all peculiar to the turbo car. If mated with a non turbo FRONT harness they will not perform their purpose.

The harness on the engine is the EM harness. See your local free online wiring diagrams for what each wire does in life.

Plus the two alternator wires are not in the Turbo EM harness. They are in the Engine harenss on a Turbo car.

Figuring out what each wire does in the harness is simple. Not all the wiring diagrams are involved. Throw all the wiring diagrams that have anything to do with the Radio, ABS, headlights, sunroof, windows, heat and air etc to the side and just deal with items that effect the engine, alt, wipers, instruments and that takes care of 90% of the wires.
