Question about a dual EGT gauge setup ???

Found this the other day and was wondering if it could be usefull on my FC. It's a dual EGT gauge from KOSO. Koso make performance parts for snowmobiles. Here's a link with some info: http://www.team2powersports.com/Dual.../bd04-0223.htm. They offer 2 different types of probes. Standard and fast probes, basically standard probes react slower than the fast probes but are 30$ more expensive.

I have a custom made manifold with egt bungs already welded on. Just wondering if anyone has ever used this dual EGT setup or does everyone here use the trusty pineapple racing dual egt kit ? Or is it because it's made for snowmobiles that no one here would trust this or wanna try this at all ?

I have heard the Koso stuff is pretty good but have no direct experience with it.

If you have a turbo car, it sounds like a dual EGT setup could be beneficial. If you have an NA, it is not really needed to run both unless you are trying to get every last ounce of HP. I was just struggling with this myself for my NA car, and just decided to run a single EGT probe in the rear rotor, but have bungs in both primaries in case I want to check the other rotor.

Go with pineapple racing. I've heard nothing but good positive feedback.

For $20 more the Koso gives you warning and alarm features. If you can deal with the Koso's form factor, it is by far a better solution.

I believe the probes are those clamp in ones which is steering me away because I want some that are screwed in.

seems like a nice rig, good to 2100F and alarm settings. Sounds pretty badass!

Also from what I've read, it can be ordered with clamp-on or weld-on style probes. Hit up a snowmobile forum for a vendor for better pricing.

i like the koso, the pineapple is 52mm, which is small!

the fast probes are better if you're using 1 for each rotor, err well the closer you are to the edge the more the fast probe is needed

I run a pair on egt probes i got from teamrip. It does not show it on their site that they still sell them but they are by far the fastest probes i have found. I bought a dual egt gauge from pegasus racing and have that connected. The banzai egt setup seems good but their probes use a goofy fitting on it. Stay away from autometer, their probes have shitty response time.
