Question for 6port turbo guys regarding intake manifolds
For those of you guys using modified turbo LIM and UIM setup did you tap the block (keg) for the bolt hole in the middle of the LIM?
Just curious if it was an issue or presented problems?
If you aren't sure about what I am referring to if you look at the n/a LIM it uses 4 bolts to attach to the keg if you look look at the turbo LIM it uses 5.
I have only seen one instance where it was even mentioned in a build thread and they said it was a non issue.
Just curious of this coincides with your experiences. Thanks

In my experience, it has not been an issue and I've done a number of cars without tapping the hole. If the engine is out of the car, tap it. If not, don't bother.
Hmmmmm....my engine was a 6port. the center iron had a bolt in it but someone broke it off. flush with the iron. Well i did a boost leak test just for fun and what do ya know...pshhhhhhhhhhh right out the center of the LIM. So i tryed to get the bolt out, broke a tab, took it to machine shop they fixed the bolt/ locked the motor up with metal shavings, rebuilt the new rebuild and was g2g
