Question q's about cat converter

i have a 3" high flow cat on my car and and the flow direction is pointing the wrong way. Can it lose hp having it on the wrong way????

I'm no cat expert but I'm pretty sure you're creating a shitload of backpressure and making the cat not even work properly by having it on backwards. I could be wrong though.
