I just use the strips of metal that have holes in them every 1/4 inch or so and you just bolt them down so the battery wont slide around. I am not sure what its called but it comes in a little bag, should be easy to spot in the hardware section of say fred meyers or something. best of luck, hope u find it alright

You should either get the factory one (mew or from a wrecker) or go buy a universal bracket. A loose battery is dangerous, if it moves it could arc and cause a fire.

Is the battery tray in good shape?

These plastic things break, especially at where the factory tie down rods poke in.

These are a dime a dozen at most any wrecking yard. So go buy a complete set of tray, two rod hold down, and (if possible) the battery box and box lid.

Absolutely, don't put this off. Dangerous driving with the battery loose like that!

i think for the time being im going to use those mini bungy cord holders.
my battery base wore in taill end of the car, so when i hit it, or while driving over the smooth new york city streets and hit 7000 bumps, it pops back onto the motor. im deffially fixing that tomorrow.

thanks for the help
