Purchased RX 7 Wont Start

I just bought this new 1990 Rx 7 NA from a used car sales man,not running. He told me one day it just decided not to run. Car turns over. It sat for 4 years. Ive done everything. It has fresh gas and oil. new battery, he had put new plugs 4 yrs ago. I ve done the unflooding procedures. Used starting fluid. But nothing. When I remove the bottom leading plugs they shoot out fire, what does that mean? The plugs seem to always be wet with gas and oil. I know plugs are getting spark because i ve manage to shock my self with all of them. I need help what should I do.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO ATF!!! Oil!

Why did you buy a non running rx7, when you dont seem to know alot about them? You also say that you bought it from a car salesmen...Im gonna only assume you got ripped off?

I did some extensive research on it. I bought the car with the intent to rebuild it. I used oil it didnt get the job done. i even put some starter fluid, now how come it didnt start, is my spark not strong enough.? by the way i do not like the attitude in this forum with newbies.

No ATF....

Use 2cycle oil.. put an ounce or so in each leading plug hole.. re-install plugs.. fire her up.

I bought a car that wouldn't start. I added a tablespoon of ATF to each plug hole. It fired right up. Doesn't mean it will work for you but it did for me. Some people say that the transfluid is bad for the internals. My motor is still running strong 2 years later.

You could try tow starting it. TRY pushing starting to.

Something else could have caused it to not run all of a sudden. Make sure you double check for vac leaks esp after the AFM cause it will not idle.

Did you do a compression test?
Also buy a new set of factory NGK plugs. This will really help even if they are somewhat new.

I learned to ignore people with bad attitudes!!!!!!!!!
