Pulsation Damper

I noted on another thread that someone had replaced his F.I. Pulsation Damper with a banjo bolt.
I am considering doing the same thing. Anybody know of any problems with this solution?

Yes, I am familiar with that thread. I understand the issue completely. I just wondered if the slight hammering from the fuel pump pulsations would damage anything if I removed the damper and replaced it with a banjo bolt.
Thanks,
