Mazdatrix ....Replace it now!!! You don't want your car to look like this attachment!!
Its not hared to replace...its a little pricey now ($134) but could save you a lot of money in the end!!

Another option is the banjo bolt to replace it, or using an S5 primary fuel rail with integrated PD. Search, there are many topics on this.

Check out this site about eliminating the fuel pulsation damper (FPD): http://rotaryresurrection.com/pulsation.html

I haven't done this but I don't see why it wouldn't work, and if it's on kevin lander's website then I would trust the info!

it dampens the pulses that the opening and closeing of the injectors cause on the fuel flow...I say replace it with a new one and not the banjo bolt...Mazda put it there for a reason so I say leave it--unless you are heavily modded! IMO

The Banjo bolt should considered a temporary fix at best until you can get the parts to do it right.

S5 rails leak just as much as the S4 PDs do, and with the S4 rail you don't have to replace the whole rail when it starts leaking (saving you about $50-$75).

Yeah, just do it right. Its like $140 including shipping from mazdatrix for the s4 damper and the 2 little gaskets. Its like an hour job. Take off the UIM, get a 22mm(I think) wrench, unscrew the old one and just screw in the new one. IMO, for something so easy and important, theres no reason to half *** the job w/ a banjo bolt. But make sure you fix it as soon as possible, like everyone else said.

Buy the Pulsation Damper, some new fuel injection hoses, and an upper intake manifold gasket. The PD is easy to replace. Remove the upper intake manifold, replace the PD, replace the fuel lines (might as well), and if the old gasket didnt break in half, put the manifold back on. If the gasket broke, get ready for some serious fun. Get a pack or razor blades and start scrapping the old gasket off carefully without taking chunks of manifold off. Good luck
