pulsation dampener?

im really confused about this i recently have been reading about this but i am lost i never heard of this before? what is it and y replace it? how do i know if mine needs replacing? all help will help thankx

At the top of the 2nd gen forum you will see the 2nd Gen Archive. Lots of good info in there. There is also a thread at the top of the regular 2nd gen section that is titled "FAQ for FC" read through that too. Lots of answers to commonly asked questions in there.

Also, it's spelled "damper" not "dampener".

that would be wrong... it is Fuel Dampener or Pulsation dampener or Fuel Pulsation Dampener

That would be wrong. It is 'Damper' Check the 88 FSM Chapter 4 Section B page 3 in the FSM Turbo emisions and fuel section.

Um, a dampener makes things damp. A damper smoothes things out. It's ok, it's a common misspelling. I'm just doin what I can to make it right.
