pulling engine apart, ??s

pulling engine apart, ??s

when i an pulling the first cover off of the front of the engine how do i get the crank off? pulling the fly wheel, what size is the nut? when i pull the housings what should i expect to fly off if anything?

the nut is 2-1/8" its a pain in the *** without an impact wrench, or o ive heard lol... it only took me about 10 seconds witht the cheesy walmart CH impact gun for like 35 bucks. If you get the socket from sears like i did, you might need an adapter, my gun was 1/2" drive, and the socket is 3/4. 30 bucks total

i have a good impact wrench, so im not worried about that. i messured the bolt and that's what i got 2 1/8. just wanted to be sure before i bought the wrong one.

nothing should fly. however, it would be wise to start with a clean shop floor and pleanty of clear space on a bench. account for all the rotor seals and springs during disassembly. many times the side seals and corner seals will stick to the side or int. plates when you lift them.

Dude, Those questions alone lead me to believe your head is over your ski's. You should do some reading or purchase one of the rebuilding videos before you try to rip the motor apart. This isn't a tinker toy set!

dude i just want to be shure before i break something. i allready figured all that stuff out with the useful info posted above.

i thought it was 2 1/16

i need to know for sure because i went to napa today and they said that 2 and 1/8 is not made? go figure. thay do have 2 3/32, which is really close, would that fit?
