That is a lot of hp for a rotary. I have first hand seen what it takes to make 1000 hp on a 440 cubic inch engine, and it isn't easy. I know 850hp is a lot lower than 1000 but the engine is a heck of a lot smaller as well.

Well my plans for this engine is going to be going into a drift/street fc rx7. now I am thinking about going pp or jport or a bridgport, I still have next week to make up my mind on that. I do know it a lot of work but I have some good resources to make this happen.

You definitely don't need a wild setup for either of those. Street port and BNR hybrid turbo will do you just fine, about 300 hp. A P-Port or crazy bridge port will be a bitch on the street (2000 rpm idle and 4mpg FTL). Then again, a n/a P-port would be kind of cool in a drift car.

If you want to make 850HP with any sense of reliability for street use, then a 20B is your only reasonable option. You will spend far less money then if you had used a 13B when you consider all of the 13Bs and turbos you will blow trying to figure it out.

must be not. 850hp is definitely not a street car even if it is able to be street driven. i sat in a professional drag camaro one time while it was idling and that was AWESOME. 850hp should be left to the track.

I would have to agree i have been competitively drifting and auto-x my RX-7 sport na and while i do stand on the pedal its totally do-able with minimal hp, i am currently workin on a 6 port turbo, my point is you dont need massive hp to have a drift setup if im happy with 160 na youll be fine with 250-300hp turbo you dont need 850hp for your goal...

If your thinking about building a 50,000$ car like this without the proper safety equipment required your an idiot.
