Project FC update trying to fix the "unrepairable???????????"
well as most of you know, approx a month ago, i tryed to crank the car with low voltage and i her a pop, then the electrical went crazy and it never ran rite again, so i changed ecu, coils, tps, cas, ect, i even took apart the engine harness and checked that out and Still no go, soo i decided that it must be the Chassie harness, mabee a fuseable link went out so, razorback on the fourm hooked me up with a S5 T2 chassie harness, now i know it aint the same but i should be able to make it work good enuff to try get the car going again, so the chassie harness came in today to i plan to start to change it out tommarow, and over the long weekend, sooo hopefully i can have her running buy sunday, cuz i have to moove the Fc and put it on jackstands cuz im stealing the tires off it for my subaru... but here is a few pics of what im in for...

hopefully i can get her going soon, cuz im starting to fall in love with my subaru hehe...
and i need to drive it to my aunts for winter storage, i really dont wanna pay for a tow truck
peace
Dustin

WTF. You plan on putting a S5 DASH HARNESS IN A S4!? Do you REALIZE that your ECU plugs won't fit anymore, and that's the LEAST of the problems! I mean seriously, was it REALLY that hard to troubleshoot and figure out what was wrong before tearing half the car apart? There's not much that the dash harness has to do with making the car run, so it sure isn't hard to check the wiring for that.... what an absolute waste!

The fact that you say or 'something' is REALLY bothersome. You pulled your entire damn harness out just because you couldn't check a couple of wires on a harness? If it was actually VERIFIED that it was bad, maybe I'd understand, but just pulling it out because for some reason you can't think of anything else is just a bit nuts...
ALMOST as nuts as thinking you can replace a S4 dash harness with a S5! I hope you ordered a S5 ECU/AFM/Pressure sensor/OMP/TPS, cuz unless you plan on hacking the **** out of this harness, you just wasted an assload of time, and money. All because you didn't do what me and dDub said, and check everything with a DMM....

Well thank god you haven't removed the other yet.... usually you don't post pics until it's way too late!
What you NEED to do. Is check voltages/resistances AT the ECU dash harness connector (going to the coils, etc). THEN check the voltage at the fuel pump. THEN recheck EVERYTHING's voltage/resistance on the ENGINE harness.

Well, at the moment I've got him checking all the engine harness things to see if there's anything abnormal, then we'll trace the wiring through the dash harness to the coils/etc and see.
felixwankel88, we love you.
what's the car even doing/not doing?
like it cranks, but won't start?
or no crank at all?
I hate electrical **** too, I just bought a vert that seems to have an electrical nightmare going on, and on top of it I want to use s4 parts in an s5 (opposite of you) and that just isn't goin to happen either!
