Project FC (UPDATE)

well guys after alot of arguing and hasseling with my parents/friends about my car i went to my mechanic Alex Lopez (lopez racing) took the car we started it i was very happy to hear it turn on had a smile from ear to ear but for some reason it wouldnt idle any lower than 3k rpm so i was a little concerned and it even had some roughness at 3k so i thought something had gone wrong well after much looking threw the motor we noticed that me like an idiot i put the LIM gasket upside down =( and had a huge vaccuum leak from the LIM well he told me to fix it and try to start it... well today was the big day changed everything went over the car several times making shure everything is working correctly and went to turn it over after 2 cranks it started right up held the revs a little at around 2k slowly let it drop and stayed idling for about 30min at 800 rpm after 30min me finishing up picking up the tools and stuff i noticed some black liquid under the car =( i look and shure enough i blew off one of my oil cooler lines =/ so right away i run to the car and shut it off so tmw thats going to be my project...fix the oil cooler lines and give it another shot but just wanted to post the good news that my car is finally running and running like a champ soon as i get about 500 miles on break in im gonna change the oil/sparkplugs/flush radiator after that full break in at around 1500 miles i wanna send it to get tuned and try to get some fuel efficency out of the car =) but special thanks to the people who went out of there way to read my stupid post about why a fresh rebuild wouldnt start...

lol well yea i guess gave me another problem today the oil cooler lines is shot so i gotta find a new one but i have my mechanic selling me a full SS braided lines for $180 with -AN fittings not shure if i should do it or not or should i get a stock one and just replace it for now???

Kind of odd Felixwankel88 is saying you should be glad you didn't sell it when he's saying he's sick of his and doesn't want anything to do with rotary's anymore..but hey, good thing on the start up

Great to hear it's running, [b]Tweak[b]! I was actually about to send you a PM to see how you made out My oil cooler lines are leaking too, but I have replacement (read: stock, probably just as shitty as mine) to replace them with, but its really hot and humid out there, and they're not leaking THAT bad

either who.. if you have the cash, go SS, if you don't have the cash 20 bucks or so will get you a used set off the for-sale section.

lol well felix was on late at night =) and had his knowledge on it so but other than that theres 4 things left to do on it before i can drive it around

CLutch Slave Cylinder
Bleed Brakes
Brake Master Cylinder
Oil Cooler Lines

if i replace that car is ready and im happy car starts up within 2 cranks also just finished buying today some MSD 8.5mm wires since my factory ones are kinda melted n stuff only cost me about $50

lol well i cant find a oil cooler line so for right now i have a friend lending me one off his TurboII
until i can afford the SS ones and im gonna go order the clutch slave cylinder npw =P
