Profec B question

I have a question about the Greddy Profec B. How exactly does the balance **** "alter the wastegate boost response"?? Also, what happens when you set it too much to the "mild" side, or too much to the "sharp" side?

Everyone that I have ever seen with one has the boost response sharpness ****, cranked all the way to sharp. It will bring the boost on much quicker and harder

And there are no problems with that? Would that require more careful tuning, since boost comes asap?

I've had it just about in the middle. On a stock turbo, its seems to help the boost from dying out in the upper RPMs. Just a little bit though. Not a huge difference really unless you have a huge wastegate.

That **** adjusts the speed in which your waste gate is opened and closed. The closer you are to sharp, the faster it will move the gate. If it's too sharp, and opens too quick, you will loose some of the exhaust gas velocity, causing your turbine to loose momentum. If it opens too slow, the gasses don't pass through the gate, and you get boost spike.

Did, that help at all?

Those that have the profec B how well do you like it? I've only heard good things about it so far. Is it hard to set low/high boost? The only thing I don't really like about it is the need to pull vacuum line into the cabin. I'd be scared it would somehow get pinched along the line somewhere.

Its very easy to use/set up. And pulling a vacuum line in the cabin is easy. There is a hole precut in the firewall on the drivers side which I used.
