Question In process of swapping a TII in to my vert and I have some questions

Okay, swapping in a TII motor in my vert and I have question, this may be dumb but bare with me... am I going to need a AFM from a TII? In fact just in case I'm using the wrong term, I talking about the sensor that is connected to the intake box...

thats all you really need import rican make shure you have a write on how to do it and from there it should be an easy job if your missing something shouldnt be much cause you got the main things and the most expensive already...

Well You can use a NA ot TII AFM.

The TII AFM is said to be calibrated for more power or somehting though.

In my swap I got
TII AFM
TII Boost sensor
TII harness
TII Jspec Engine(duh)

I have a S4 NA engine with a S4 electronics TII engine.

If you have a S5 engine then a S5 TII harness will plug right into your NA interioir harness.

If you have an S4 you will have to rewire some stuff at thge EFI to interior harness so your temp sensor and voltage works.

Here is a BIG tip.

TII's have the back alternator plug on the main drivers side harness.

NA's have them on the EFI passenger side harness.

vert s5 swap

You guys seem to know what your talking about so maybe you could ansewer my question.
I'm in the prosess of swapping an NA S5 on a vert with a TII S5. I swapped out the wiring harness with a S5 TII wiring harness; however there is still one issue. on the passenger side there is an orange connector on the pannel to the right of the ecu that does not have a connection on the TII harness for it. That connection was on my NA harness.
What was that connection for and do I really need it?

S4 NA -> S4 TII: Use the NA engine management harness, NOT the TII.
Everything you need to know to swap (including parts list): https://www.rx7club.com/2nd-gen-archive-72/s4-na-turbo-swap-details-813825/

S5 NA -> S5 TII: Use the NA engine management harness, NOT the TII. (See a pattern here?) Seriously, you have to change the VDI plug connector for the knock sensor, extend the TPS wires, and that's it. No messing with rewiring everything at the ECU.

I'm assuming that most people think they need a TII harness because they just don't know better, but it's far more difficult, and gains you nothing.
