problems with alarm and starting

I use my 86 NA stock as my daily everyday. But 5 days ago, when I was driving home after work(45-50mph), this interesting beep went off. It lasted for about 5 seconds then it went off. I was assuming it was the add coolant alarm but there was no light popped out. After I got home, i checked and I found nothing. No steam, no smell of hot coolant.

A day later, at the exactly same spot, same time, this beep went off again. And I did the same thing and checked it, nothing.

Today, I went to this restaurant, then I went this little store to get some snacks. After I came back out, the car wont start nor crank. The battery is good and the volt is reading around 12.5-13. I also checked the fuse and there is none blown fuse. I am thinking it might be flooded? but the car wont even crank, any other ideas? thanks

You should have a relay located between the Main Relay and the trailing coil and this would be the starter cut relay. It has two Black/Green wires where one is thicker than the other. Jumper a wire between this thicker B/G wire and The Black/White wire at this particular relay while the car is not in gear and see if the car turns over as you turn the key to start as it should. If you have the interlock switch which requires the clutch to be depressed than also do that as a prep to start the car otherwise just turn the key to start w/the jumper in place.

You stated "the car would not crank," which to me means it won't turn ove,r which is not a flooding issue.

Did you do as suggested in post #4? You have to start somewhere. Don't you?

Ok, I unplugged it, wiped it clean and changed the spark plug wire set, then it started right up! Didn't get a chance to try out the jumper wire but thanks!
